March and April this year found Nicholas on location in the deserts of Jordan filming the role of Forrest in next year’s summer box office release of Monsters: Dark Continent. You can find information and a trailer online on Empire Online.

Since the successful airing of The Ice Cream Girls (adapted from the book by Dorothy Koomson of the same name) where Nicholas plays Evan alongside Lorraine Burroughs (Serena) and Jodhi May (Poppy), Nicholas has filmed a docudrama for ITV called Words of Mandela which sees him playing a young Mandela during his time just before and in prison. Transmission date is yet to be confirmed.

Earlier on this year, Nicholas was on location in eastern Europe filming a Hollywood independent film called The Keeping Room starring Brit Marling, Sam Worthington and Hailee Steinfeld.
